The study adopted a descriptive survey research design involving a population of 128 building construction site project managers and professionals. The entire population was studied because it was manageable. A structured questionnaire titled "Sustainable Safety and Site Management Best Practices (SSSMBP) Questionnaire" was used to collect data. The instrument was face validated by five experts: three from the Department of Industrial Technical Education, Faculty of Vocational and Technical Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and two from the Kogi State Ministry of Works. The Cronbach Alpha reliability technique was used to determine the instrument's internal consistency, yielding a reliability coefficient of 0.72. Data were analyzed using the mean to answer the research questions, while a t-test was used to test the null hypothesis at a 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed low awareness among project managers regarding sustainable safety and site management best practices in building construction sites in Kogi State. The study also identified barriers to the effective implementation of safety and site management best practices in building construction sites in Kogi State. The hypothesis testing revealed no significant difference in the mean responses of project managers and professionals in the Works Department in the Local Government Areas regarding the level of awareness of safety practices in selected building construction sites in Kogi State. Similarly, no significant difference was found in the mean responses of project managers and professionals regarding barriers to the effective implementation of sustainable safety and site management best practices in building construction sites in Kogi State.
